New Construction: Tracey and Jeremy Cohen

"Initially, we planned to buy something on the market and renovate it. But we chose to build when we lost a bid on a house we were excited about. We love living in the Betton Hills area and knew we didn’t want to move far, so when this lot became available just blocks from our current house, we decided to jump on it. Mat renovated our previous home and we trust him, so when it came time for us to build this new house, we didn’t talk to anybody else. Every time we meet with Mat, he is extraordinarily responsive, very straightforward, and tells us what we need to hear - not necessarily what we want to hear. As we move through each stage of the building process, Mat helps us prioritize the decisions we need to make in order to keep the ball moving forward. The subcontractors that Mat has recruited have an impressive work ethic. Everyone is incredibly professional, and they’re always on time. Mat is great at maintaining consistent progress, and even when we experience rain delays, his contractors make up for lost time on the weekends. You can’t go wrong with Mat. Not only is he a really good builder, but he’s just a really good person. We like his approach, his temperament, and the way he communicates."
